Course to take if you are a programme manager, or want to become one:

Office of Government Commerce (OGC) courses

Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)

MSP is a management tool for bringing together people, activities and information to achieve beneficial change.

The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) has developed a best practice guide on Programme Management called Managing Successful Programmes. This ground-breaking work has been developed by acknowledged experts in managing large business change programmes. The method is flexible and adaptable for any type and size of programme where a business “vision” is the required outcome.

Courses in MSP include up to three exams, these test different levels of understanding of the programme framework. There is currently (in 2007/2008) a major re-write going on for MSP, however the current course offering includes the following:

  • MSP Foundation and Intermediate - usually a four day course (with the Foundation and Intermediate exams)
  • MSP Foundation, Intermediate and Practitioner - usually a five day course (with all three exams).

We sell places on MSP courses provided by selected ATOs.
